Old Testament

God creates the universe      Genesis 1:1-25. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God creates man-                Genesis 1: 25-31. And God said let us make man in our own image.

God forms Adam-               Genesis 2: 7-8 . And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground.

God makes Eve for Adam- Genesis 2: 20-25. And the rib,which the Lord God had taken from man,made he a woman, And brought her unto the man.

Eve tricked by the serpent- Genesis 3: 1-7. Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.

Adam and Eve bannished from Eden-Genesis 3: 23. Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden.

Cain and Abel are born-      Genesis 4: 1-2. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she concieved and bare Cain. and said I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel.

Cain kills Abel-                     Genesis 4: 8. Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him.

Adams family tree-               Genesis 5: 1-32. This is the book of the generations of Adam-

Noah and the Flood-             Genesis-Chapters 6-8. And I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Gods covenant with Noah-   Genesis 9: 1-9. And I, Behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed(descendants) after you.

Noahs family tree-                 Genesis 10: 1-32. Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah.

The Tower of Babel-             Genesis 11: 1-9. And they said, Go to let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven.

Gods call to Abraham-         Genesis 12: 1-3. And I will make of thee a great nation,and I will Bless thee,and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

Gods blessing to Abraham-  Genesis 13: 2. And Abraham was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

Gods covenant with Abraham-Genesis 15: 18. Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates.

Gods covenant for Isaac-    Genesis 17:19. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac;and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

Abrahams plea to God to save Sodom and Gomorrah- Genesis 18: 16-33. And he said,"Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once; Peradventure(if there is) ten shall be found there, and he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake-(ten righteous men).

Lots wife turned to stone-     Genesis 19:26. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a piller of salt.

Isaac is born-                   Genesis 21:1-8. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age.

Abraham and the sacrifice of Isaac-  Genesis 22:1-19. And he said. Take now thy son, Thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest,and get the to the land of Moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Isaac and Rebekah's marriage           Genesis 24 : 1-64. And Isaac brought her into his mothers Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mothers death.

Abraham dies                    Genesis 25: 7- 8. And these are the days of the years of Abrahams life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years. (175 years).

Jacob and Esau are born-  Genesis 25: 19-26. And when her day were fulfilled to be delivered, behold, there were twins in her womb.

Esau sells Jacob his birthright-  Genesis 25: 31-34. And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.(for a bowl of stew, bread and drink).

Isaac decieved by Jacob and Rebekh for Esau's Blessing- Genesis 27: 1-46. 
And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn.

Jacob dreams of a ladder to Heaven-   Genesis 25: 11-16. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set upon the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

Jacob and an Angel wrestle till daybreak- Genesis 32: 24. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man(an angel) with him until the breaking of day.

The Angel renames Jacob to Israel-       Genesis 32: 28. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Jacob/Israel gives Joseph a coat of many colors- Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children; Because he was the son of his old age;and he made him a coat of many colors.

Joseph sold by his brothers- Genesis 37: 26-28. Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph outof the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ismeelites for twenty pieces of silver; and they brought Joseph to Eqypt.

Joseph dies                             Genesis 50:26. So Joseph died, being a Hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Eqypt.

Moses is born and Pharaoh's daughter finds him  Exodus 2:6 And when she opened it (floating basket) she saw the child;and behold,the child wept,and she had compassion on him,and said, This is one of the Hebrews children.

Moses becomes a prince, kills a task master, flees Eqypt to Median,and marry's Zapporah      Exodus 2: 10-23.

Moses and the Burning Bush          Exodus 3: 2. And the angel of the Lord appreared unto him in a flame of fire out of  the midst of a bush, and he looked and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

God instructs Moses to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt  Exodus 3: 10. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

God sets ten plagues upon Egypt     Exodus 7: 14 thru 12:30

The Passover                                    Exodus 12: 1-20.
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will passover you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.(-verse:13).

Moses instructs the Israelites on Passover preparations Exodus 12: 21-28. For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood on the lintel and on the two side posts, the Lord will passover the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

The tenth plague inflicted on Egypt         Exodus 12: 29-30.
And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the Firstborn in the land of Egypt.


The Exodus-Pharaoh lets the Hebrews leave Egypt    Exodus 12: 31-51. And he(Pharaoh)called for Moses and Aaron by night,and said,rise up and get ye forth from among my people-(verse 31).

The Red Sea crossing               Exodus 14: 16-31. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided(v-21)

The Ten Commandments        Exodus 20: 1-17.
1.Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3. Thou shalt not take the Lord thy Gods name in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honour thy Father and thy Mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultry
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10.Thy shalt not covet thy neighbors house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife, nor his manservent, nor his maidservent, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything which is thy neighbors.


The Golden Calf made by Aaron    Exodus 32:(verse 4 )
And he received them(gold) at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf; and they said, These be thy Gods O Isreal, which brought thee  out of the land of Egypt.

Battle of Jericho                        Joshua 6:1-27. So the people shouted when the priest blew with the trumpets;and it came to pass,when the people heard the sound of the trumpet and the people shouted with a great shout, that the walls fell down flat, so the people went up into the city, every man strait before him, and they took the city.(verse 20)

The stories of Gideon               Judges- Chapters 6-8.

Gideon slays the Midianites with 300 men   Judges 7: 16-22.
And they stood every man in his place round about the camp, and all the host(Midianites) ran, and cried, and fled.

The Stories of Sampson           Judges - Chapters 13-16.

Sampson and Delilah               Judges 16: 4-20. And Delilah said to Sampson, Tell me I pray thee, wherin thy great strength lieth, and wherwith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

Ruth a story of  love                Ruth -  Chapters 1-4.

Ruth bares Boaz a son named O-bed    Ruth 4: 13. So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife; and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son.
( O-bed is the father of Jesse, and Jesse is the father of David).

Samuels Birth                         I Samuel 1: 20. Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son; And called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.

Saul becomes the first King of Isreal    I Samuel 11: 15. And all the people went to Gil-gal; and there they made Saul King before the Lord in Gil-gal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the Lord; and there Saul and all the men of Isreal rejoiced greatly.

God chooses David                I Samuel 16: 1-13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethern; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward, so Samuel rose up and went to Ra-mah (verse 13 )

David slays Goliath               I Samuel 17:49. And David put his hand into his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in the forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

Saul commits suicide            I Samuel 31: 4. Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword and trust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me, But the armourbearer would not, for he was sore afraid, Therefore Saul took a sword and fell upon it.

David becomes King of Juda    II Samuel 2: 1- 11. And the men of Juda came and there they anointed David King over the House of Juda, and they told David, saying, That the men of Ja-besh-gil-e-ad were they that buried Saul(verse 4)

David becomes King over all Isreal   II Samuel 5: 1-12. So all the elders of Israel came to the king, to He-bron; and King David, made a league with them in He-bron before the Lord; and they anointed David King over Isreal.(verse 3)

The story of David and Bathsheba   II Samuel chapter 11.
And it came to pass in an evening tide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the kings house; and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.(verse 2)

God punishes David                           II Samuel 12: 1-23. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house; Because thou hast despised me, and has taken the wife of U-ri-ah the Hitite to be thy wife.(verse 10). Davids 1st son with Bathsheba dies.(verse 18)

Solomon is born                                II Samuel 12: 24. And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her; and lay with her, and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon; and the Lord loved him.

Solomon becomes King                    I Kings 1: 28-40. And Za-dok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save King Solomon. (verse 39 )

God appears to Solomon                  I Kings 3: 5. In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said. ask what I shall give thee.

Solomon asks God for wisdom        I Kings 3: 9. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart, to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad; for who is able to judge this thy so great a people.

God appears to solomon a second time  I Kings 9: 2. That the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him in Gibeon.(God blesses Solomons House and Temple to God)

The Queen of Sheeba comes to see Solomon  I Kings 10: 1-13.  And when the Queen of Sheeba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions.

Solomon's actions angers God           I Kings 11: 1-41. And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice.(verse 9)

Solomon dies                                    I Kings 11: 43. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father; and Re-ho-bo-am his son reigned in his stead.

Elijah test the prophets god of Baal   I Kings 18: 1-40. Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, andand cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under; and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under;

God takes Elijah to Heaven             II Kings 2:11. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold,there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Satan test Jobs loyalty to God          Job chapters 1 & 2. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thy hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
1. Lost his oxen and asses and servants tending them.
2. Lost his sheep and servents tending them
3. Lost all his camels and servants tending them.
4. Lost 7 sons and 3 Daughters -  all in 1 Day.
5. Lost his health, Boils from head to toe.

Job recieves blessings from God       Job 42: 10-13. And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job TWICE as much as he had before.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego cast into a furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar                       Daniel : chapter 3. Then these men were bound in their robes, their leggings, and turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into themidst of the burning fiery furnace.(verse 21)

He/The king answered and said, Lo I see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.(verse 25)

Daniel cast into the Lions den          Daniel: chapter 6. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions, Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou serve continually, he will deliver you.(verse 16)

Daniel is saved from the lions         Daniel : chapter 6 : 21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

Jonah swallowed by a Great Fish          Jonah : chapters 1 and 2. Now the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.(chapter 1:17)

Jonah saved from the Great Fish          Jonah 2:10. And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
